Your Weekly Collection Schedule

Trash Collection

Trash is collected once per week on your assigned service day (Monday–Friday).

Please set your cart out by 6:00 AM.

Recycling Collection

Recycling is collected every other week on your trash day using the Week A / Week B system.

Bulk Item Collection

Bulk items (up to four) are collected on your regular trash day during the first full week of each month.

No scheduling required.

Trash Guidelines

Accepted Bulk Items

  • Furniture
  • Mattresses & box springs (bagged)
  • Rugs (rolled & tied)
  • Toys
  • Small household items
  • White goods

Not Accepted

  • Electronics
  • Construction debris
  • Hazardous materials
  • Yard waste

Cart Rules & Set-Out Guidelines

Set-Out Rules

Carts out by 6:00 AM

  • Maintain 3 feet of space around each cart
  • Wheels facing your house
  • Lids fully closed
  • Keep carts clear of mailboxes, parked cars, and low branches
  • Do not place carts on snow piles

Use Town-Issued Carts Only

Residents must use Town-issued trash and recycling carts.

Carts must stay with the property.

Recycling Guidelines

Accepted Items

  • Paper, mail, magazines
  • Cardboard (flattened)
  • Plastic bottles, jugs, tubs
  • Glass bottles & jars
  • Metal cans
  • Shredded paper (in clear bags)

Not Accepted

  • Aerosol cans
  • Batteries
  • Electronics
  • Plastic bags, film
  • Styrofoam
  • Wood or yard waste
  • Hazardous liquids
  • Medical sharps

Holiday & Weather Delays

If a holiday occurs Monday–Friday, collection is delayed one day for the rest of the week.

  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

Winter Weather:

  • Keep carts accessible
  • Clear snow from around placement area
  • Avoid placing carts on or behind snowbanks

ORCHARD PARK RESIDENTS - REPORT A MISSED PICK UP

Use this form to report a missed trash, recycling, or bulk pickup in Orchard Park. Before submitting, please confirm: Your cart was at the curb by 6:00 AM, the cart was not blocked by cars, snowbanks, or other obstacles. We’ll review your request and, if eligible, schedule a recovery visit as quickly as possible.

ORCHARD PARK - REPORT A MISSED TOTE DELIVERY

Use this form if your trash or recycling tote was not delivered as expected, or if you received the wrong tote. DELIVERY OF YOUR TOTE WILL BE FROM MONDAY, DECEMBER 8TH - DECEMBER 22ND 2025. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM USING THIS FORM UNTIL DECEMBER 23RD. We’ll verify our delivery records and schedule a follow-up delivery or correction if needed.
